This project explores the boundaries between functional typography and expressive visual experimentation. Using text from a critical essay on the history and purpose of experimental typography, I transformed the content into a series of distorted, layered, and glitch-based compositions that challenge conventional readability and emphasize emotional impact.
Across the booklet, I manipulated type using analog distortion, digital interference, and compositional disruption to visually reflect the essay’s key themes — the tension between clarity and expression, typography as cultural reflection, and the role of experimentation in design evolution. The final result is a publication that functions as both a research artifact and an artistic exploration of typographic form.
